MHNEWS.id.- Calon Wakil Presiden (cawapres) nomor 3 Mahfud Md., menegaskan rakyat kecil yang hak-haknya selalu dirampas tanpa alasan hukum yang benar harus diberikan perlindungan hukum.
Dikatakan Mahfud, ke atas (pejabat, pengusaha) hukum harus ditegakan sedangkan ke bawah (rakyat kecil) hukum bersifat perlindungan.

Lebih lanjut Mahfud memaparkan, ada tiga sasaran yang harus dilakukan untuk memperbaiki sistem hukum. Tiga sasaran itu meliputi struktur hukum (legal structure), substansi hukum (legal subtance) dan budaya hukum (legal culture).
“Di manapun di setiap negara itu, kalau mau memperbaiki hukum itu tiga sasarannya. Satu, legal subtance, isi aturannya bagus atau enggak,” kata Mahfud dalam acara GASPOL! Kompas.com, Kamis (24/11/2023).
